An engaging STEM program for middle schoolers. Data Detectives Clubs, funded by the National Science Foundation, provide fun hands-on activities and challenges built around science adventure novel PANDEMICS!

IN THIS PROGRAM KIDS WILL LEARN ABOUT:

  • Epidemics like COVID, measles, and more

  • The United States, Navajo Nation, and Bangladesh

  • Real-world disease data with an analysis tool

  • How diseases move from animals to humans, and the effect of vaccination on disease spread through games

  • The exciting story of two kids who travel across time to learn about epidemics

THE PROGRAM INCLUDES:

  • Free 4-hour program leader training

  • Free copies of the book Pandemics!

  • $1,000 stipend for club completion

  • 7-10 hours of data focused content for middle school
